Employment law is a series of rules and regulations that are keep in place for ensuring that both employers are aware of their obligations regarding their employees and employees rights are protecting in the workplace. If any organization doesn’t follow this legalities, they they can find themselves in the middle of a daunting employment tribunal.
Within employment law various conditions and terms of employment are laid out to ensure that the employer/employee contract is going in a right way with a fair for everyone who is involved in it. The best example of this is with an employment contract. When you are approaching for a new post with a new organization, an employee is usually asked to sign a contract of employment, which collect the information regarding the terms and conditions of employment. Employees are expected to hold these terms and conditions within the employment contract.
Nevertheless, these terms and conditions of employment always follow the employee throughout their employment relationship and cover a variety of areas like as employee’s pay and reward, employee relations, recruitment and process of selection, performance management and absence management. For ensuring that their employees are aware of employment law and their policies and procedures governing their employment, employers should make sure that their policies are available for viewing at any time. Employment law can also refer to the legal rights of any organization’s employee. The best example of this is prospective employee rights during the time of selection and recruitment process. Another key example of this is during an interview.
